Farren Praises AOH Parade Organisers

North Antrim MLA Seán Farren has praised the organisers of the AOH St Patrick’s day demonstration in Rasharkin. Mr Farren was a spectator at the event and has expressed pleasure at the way it was conducted.

“The parade commenced promptly and was very well marshalled throughout the village. The large crowd of spectators enjoyed the many bands present while the sunny weather gave the day all the appearance of a very festive occasion.

“We must try to ensure that all demonstrations by whatever organisation are conducted the same well behaved manner.

“If only parades could all become festive occasions enjoyed by all sections of the community our society would be more harmonious. That should be the goal of every organising committee.”
